Something I have long forgotten

by Mortal Utopia   May 22, 2018

It all came, as the wind comes,
a silence too deafening for mortal ears;
or perhaps as shooting stars,
too unsuspected for mortal eyes.
Your fragile immortality
(for you will never fade)
are all I have left.

    A good piece! I love how you perceive that 'something' as immortal and you being mortal, and 'fragile immortality' is just lovely! But how can you forget something that will never fade and all that you have left? Hmm...
