It’s a you thing

Someone told me the other day that when you’re in love;
No amount of time with that person ever feels like enough.
And while it feels like I’ve known you for my whole life and I’ve loved you even longer;
I’m not entirely sure that that statement is true for us.
I mean I live for the evenings I get to spend with you;
Curled up in your lap with your arms around me while I breathe in your cologne and listen to your heartbeat but-
It’s more than just love that makes me want to spend all the time there is in the world with you,
Plus some.
On days that you’re away I fight the numbing ache in my chest;
Willing it to go away and reminding myself that I’ll get to see you again soon,
No matter how long soon may be.
You are my best friend;
But more than that you’re my support,
The one who keeps my head on straight and talks sense into me-
The one who stands by my side and takes on the daily challenges of life with me.
And while the context of it was meant to be helpful;
There’s so much more to it than that.
With that being said;
this never having enough time thing?
It’s not just a love thing-
It’s a you thing.
