From here to somewhere

the roses in your cheeks faded
changing colour;
like a season coming to an end.

the sun, gradually sets;
slowly in your heart,
and your temperature begun losing its colour

new horizons beckoned-
although, one not known in this life.

a different season loomed-
one, in which i could only imagine;
as a darker shade

hopeless tears rolled from my eyes as i watched
your transition

-a transition,
from here in this world to somewhere else;
some other place. Maybe.

maybe, a place somewhere you have yet to explore

i remember you saying -
you felt as if you were bathing
beneath a waterfall;
where the water fell with the stars
and the moon was out of your reach.

your breathing withered-
and the room drowned in silence
as you left...

..i gazed out of the window
and saw a man mowing his lawn
as if nothing had happened.
