Rose

by Mortal Utopia   May 31, 2018

Beauty can fade
like a tainted rose, or
linger - out of reach - with
the fragmented colours of jealousy.

My rose, with your thorns in the sun
turning to blood amongst the contours
of the rainbow - I'm sorry
for the way I see your radiance.
