You in the night

by Kereen   Jun 2, 2018

Nothing felt right
But nothing was wrong
So you end up stuck in the middle
With the same love song

The evening will be over soon
and the night approaches
You know what's coming
Riding in along with the dark

Your bed is a comforting pond
Of all your life's mess
You bury them under the sheets
And sprinkle them with the tears
from your pillow set

No one sees
the real you in the night
How anxiety and sadness
shadows you like a tree
So you plug in your earphones
Music high
Trying not to think
what is wrong with me

So now your stuck in the middle
Between helpless and daring to hope
Just drifting asleep on the melodies
Hoping tomorrow you'll cope.

A melancholy piece that captures that real life moment of uncertainty when caught in limbo. A nice little piece. Milly x
