The Actor

Liking the character an actor portrays
makes you want to become
a performer in some ways
not realizing the difficult
to accomplish craft
that allows you to feel that way
even if you were not apt
It is easy to fall prey
of this sort of shaft

You want to memorize
words that are lofty
But deep inside
you know
you are just a softy
And when the same actor plays
a character you do not like
your acting career
disappears fast down the pike
