Thank you Mahal Ko Kuya Ko!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and that you have nominated it. I'm very new to this lovely site and I have explored trying to educate myself with how it works, but despite my best efforts, somehow I haven't been able to find any explanation of what being nominated means :/
Can you please explain it to me?
      Many thanks
      Megan

Have you seen the Contest Nominations page? You can find it in the options in your right. That's where the nominated poems for the week are found. The site hosts a weekly contest, wherein the 3 poems that got the highest votes from the judges out of all the nominated poems for the week will be featured in the front page (like the 3 poems there right now), and will have a 'WIN' badge beside it. You can nominate poems once you've reached 'Nominator Status', you can reach that status by having certain awards, the awards are the letters you see beside a poet's name. Think I've seen a forum thread about it, but can't find it and am too lazy right now, and the search forum option seems to have disappeared, so hopefully this one helps:

Welcome to the site. If you have any more questions, feel free to message me or the Moderators. (:

    Congratulations, Megan.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. If I could buy a can of 'Petrichor' I'd spray it each morning! :)

    Well done.

Thank you Mr. Darcy. It's such a welcome smell when you've been waiting for that rain through a long dry spell. It would be a nice start to a morning :D

Excellent writing about a subject that's never crossed my mind. An educational poem! How cool.

"and the rain that the that the humidity promised"
A mistype? 'that the' is written twice

Thank you so much for your kind words silvershoes.
Well spotted, it is indeed a mistype! I'm new here, so how can I edit that? Can I edit it?

You absolutely can make edits. Click your username in the top right and an option should drop down "manage your texts." Click that, scroll to the poem, and then hit edit.
