Forever More

by Anton Pantoya   Jun 15, 2018

From stardust we’re formed, to stardust we shall return
Like ashes that fly after being burned
We cherish the time we have with family and friends
Until we meet our inevitable ends
No words can describe the pain I feel
It’s so excruciating I have to kneel
I pray and pray yet no answer
It’s almost like these prayers are like time-cancer

I’m sorry for the bad rhythms with the melancholy on the side, but I have to get my emotions out on life’s rollercoaster ride.
Our hearts are heavy and we can’t help but feel sorrow, even as the sun sets for tomorrow....
He wouldn’t have any of this; he wouldn’t want any of us sad.
He would like us to toast, be merry, and be glad.
Life is too short and the end draws near; Let’s not hold any anger, sadness, or fear
Friends and loved ones, let’s drink, smoke, and never bore!
In memory of him, we shall revel forever more!

That first line really hooked me, that line itself was absolutely breath taking.
It was sad and inspirational, that little message that life is too short, and we need to keep going.
    Amazing write, deserves a nomination.
