A LOST SOUL (sonnet)

A LOST SOUL (sonnet)

Like a wandering Star in a vast darkness,
My reminiscing of my past seems endless
Once there was for me a world of light
Bright skies, billowing clouds, rainbows hue
You found me, stuck together, like glue
Happy days seeing each other, Heavenly gaze
Cotton candy, the wishing well, tales they tell
In the lake, holding you, when I shiver, shake
Sitting in my yard, you seemed aloft, odd
I love a man, he said, no more going to bed
And from his word, I had heard, Eternity!
Swell, if I don’t believe in Jesus, I go to Hell
Pain in chest, now I’m buried on the crest
Sorry is me, dead to *light, gone for eternity

*Jesus’s quotes; (Paraphrased) I am the way, the truth, and the life (Eternal) He that believes in me shall never die, they will have the light of life.

Dear Ken what a touching piece with a well chosen title. A lost soul that's how I feel many times but at the end I was never alone. The man above has pulled me through. Hugs to you.
