Don't judge me (Part 1)

by deeplydesturbed   Jun 21, 2018

From the outside looking in
It may seem like a slight shake
From the inside looking out
It feels like a giant quake

Starting with a shiver
Running down the spine
Progressing to a cold sweat
Seeping from the hairline

In reality what has only been
Merely hours at the most
Inside the mind it feels like days
Since the last time being slightly comatose

A day without a drink
At least a bottle or two
Leaves an alcoholic
Feeling more than a little askew

Sometimes the struggle is obvious
To those who have been there before
To those who haven’t experienced it
Can’t judge this mental war
