Yesterday Is History Tomorrow Is A Mystery Today Is A Present

by CJ Maleney   Jul 4, 2018

Of all the things you've said and done,
For everything that you've become
For every unrequited deed,
Should you be a knight upon a steed?

Do require praise and accolade?
To prove your memory will not fade!
To have a medal on your breast,
To show to others you are the best

Or do you whisper words in ears!
The ones that can't eradicate fears.
The ones who want to change some more,
To Something that they weren't before.

Do you build upon the words they say,
Help insecurities to fade away.
Remind them that the world ain't that bad,
And show them all that they could have.

Do you depart from that sense of self,
And show them they are something else.
To forget pettiness and stupid quarrels,
And yet not to rest upon your laurels.

To talk of the things that make you cringe,
To offer things up without pressing!
Be it you or be it some other lost soul
Knowing some things can make us whole.

Everyone will at times feels weak.
God knows what releases we will seek.
But if you have a little ear to listen,
Perhaps that soul will shine and glisten.

Ignore the guy who you think warped?
Perhaps he has a lesson still to be taught!
Hear his words and know his fears.
He'll remember you for years and years.

Never ignore your friends and loved ones,
Though sometimes you feel their sorrow.
Yesterday is gone and lost to history.

Now focus on tomorrow!

An inspirational write! From start to end the perfect rhymes flows
and it tells of life’s experiences finishing off with a thought. Yes lets
forget the past and live for a new tomorrow, lets forget minute fights
and keep your loved ones and friends close for they are the ones who will be
there for you till the end...loved the read!
