Whoso Has Loved

Whoso has loved each other as we.
Upon the paths, we have cherished and disparaged and forgiven in the name of what is given.
We have bravely and blindly marched towards what can be eternal only to faulter and cower. We have broken love's branch.
Whoso has loved only to let it wither on the vine. Pruning the palm only so that it may grow forth with another.
We have loved and we have come to naught. We shall never forget the shining possibilities that lay exhausted and in ruins.
