October's Sky

by Baby Rainbow   Jul 27, 2018

An ordinary day in October finds me collapsing
into a pile of leaves on the ground,
as souls in the rainbow dance before my eyes,
reminding me of what life took from me.

Only a thought of you can bring tear drops to my heart
and fear into my eyes,
as my finger traces your silhouette that lingers in my memories -
each time leaving me breathless with the fearful reality
of a future without you.

Leaving my life was the removal of any hope
I ever had of becoming free.

The clouds in the sky all keep pointing at you,
its as if you are sending them to chase me,
to remind me of your love.

But don't worry baby,
we may no longer be young,
but we are still growing old together,
yet apart...

connected by October's cloudy sky.

The sadness an October month can bring
coupled with the seasons...its touching how
    memories can hurt us...beautifully sad,
    Take care

A sad tale but of a great love...this is what we will always hope for...that some connection might still be there even if we are separated physically from the people we love. I felt this deeply.
