Cyclones and Concupiscence

by Aegis   Aug 1, 2018

She baptized me in a rain of sweat
and preemptive kisses;
setting a frenetic pace my heart
could only dream of catching up to.

Tortured hands and tempestuous hearts were
both forsaken as we washed away our
sins in a shower of empathy
and acceptance.

And like a rip current she stole a kiss and
drifted into the sunrise during high tide;

leaving only some damp scarlet
half-moons scattered near my clavicle.
