Mask

by Krystal   Aug 9, 2018

I wear this mask all day long,
Happy smiles and happy songs,
Just want to remove it,
Just want to be free.

Perfect there and perfect here,
Same freaking word I always hear,
Upon a stool they've placed me high,
Like I'm reaching for the sky.

Please let me be, just let me down,
I can't stay up here, can't wear this crown,
Perfect in and perfect out,
Not to long before I shout.

I wear this mask all day long,
Happy smiles and happy songs,
Just want to remove it,
Just want to be free.

At the end of the day I just want to be me!!

I'm sorry I only just noticed this excellent piece. The message us so real for a lot of people. Being yourself and accepting yourself just the way you are is the key to a being peaceful happy soul. Milly x
