Castles in the Air

by Maple Tree   Aug 14, 2018

Twisted is the night when rainfall brings her home
casting formations upon love circles and echos of
transformation.

Dare I succumb to night magic-

Stars ignore my innocence
jesters become witness to this
life I'm living; hands hold
blood of the followers, nothing
remains the same after the demons
take over.

My glowing eyes remain unseen to
those who believe upon other notions
and I'm tired of hoping, wishing, and thinking
things will ever change.

I nestle within dark forests
full of sights so rich that angels
gasp upon sight-

they continue to walk in formation,
dead humanity following nothing
but broken promises, endless dreams
and I beg for them to breathe;

but they never will.

Andrea, writing allows us to express sometimes the insanity we feel inside about the insanity that's going on in our lives. It gives us an outlet to be able to quiet the buzzing...hugs and love my friend-

such a powerful piece of writing, that says so much in current times, in regard to the continuing battles with the darker forces of nature. Wonderful piece

Andrea, your mind is brilliant magical and wonderful too.

I dont know how you manage, except that i do. Its your resilient heart and faith in a world and of its people to do the right thing.

I believe in the 80/20 rule. 80% of people are essentially good and the other 20% have an evil streak. In a nutshell: the minority try to ruin it for everyone else.

As much as we try to ignore these people, there are times when it gets too much. I'm glad you are able to relieve this pressure, somewhat, with your wonderful poetry.

We love you, Andrea. We are part of the 80% and are here for you. ((hugs)) xx
