I SING A SONG

I SING A SONG

When the days grow dark, dreary, and long, I sing a song.
When a love fades, and, even my closest friends, say, so long, I sing a song.
At the end of the month, when the Bills pile up, long overdue, too many for me to pay, I sing a song.

When loved one’s die, many tears I shed, the lines are long, I sing a song.
The morning packed Subway car, bouncing to and fro, radios blaring, enjoying my morning Jo, it’s so warm, but, I sing a song.

Looking out of the Office window, observing the masses in the misty concrete jungle heat, for a better life, I do long, I sing a song.

I see my life wilting away, as the tide draws the water from the bay, my soul is torn, nevertheless, I cherish my good life long memories, days of splendor, when life did please, love under the moon, that wonderful piece of cheese, and, I sing a song.
