Rhodes Part 3 (idiot abroad)

by CJ Maleney   Aug 20, 2018

Lounging by the swimming pool,
My mind starts to get bored.
So we take a walk and I get us lost,
Yes! I'm that idiot abroad.

Two miles we should have walked,
Instead we covered ten or more.
Whining kids, and a never ending thirst,
All our feet are getting sore.

Getting lost is not a bad thing,
For you will see things you perhaps would not,
I enjoyed every single step and sight,
And what we've seen won't be forgot.

Walking down those cobbled streets,
Life does not get better than this.
Then through the ancient castle moat,
I'm telling you it's bliss!

As will always happen with me,
I follow the ocean breeze.
Then back flipping off coral rocks,
And slamming into the sea.

Time for us to head back now
As little feet can't take the pain
Two in a taxi and three forced to hike,
Yep you guessed it.

I got us lost again!

    Little explanation.

Yes I did take us completely the wrong way, But we eventually ended up where we intended, even though we covered 10 miles to get there.

The boys and I were swimming in the sea and because we were wet the taxi refused to take us. So the girls got the cab and the three of us idiots got lost again covering another 5 miles to get home.

I should really learn to speak Greek lol.
