Save Yourself

by AnnaCG   Aug 20, 2018

Everything I touch begins to wither.
Slowly at first, so as not to notice.
Siphoning away happiness to play off
as my own.

It washes over me in waves.
Only lasting a moment before passing by.
Until there is nothing.

Again.

Pulling me down into the darkness that becomes me.
A black hole.
Ready to consume your energy, your love.

Devouring the light that is cast my way.
It's never ending.
I am nothing but this pit that aches inside me.

I cannot escape. Save yourself.
