Fallen leaves of confusion

by Ya----Na   Aug 20, 2018

I was a species of anger
until you had come closer to me,
and my temper drowned
in the lost city of Atlantis
hidden behind your eyes.

Beasts inside of me
no longer born during the night
ever since my sleep
drawn in your crayon dreams.

The Butterflies of happiness
now sit on those flowers
growing on my face
within the rays of your shimmering smile.

My soul is free from the shades of regret
yet I feel trapped
in each moment of clarity
because the path to your heart
is covered with fallen leaves of confusion,
and I bought a one-way ticket to the heaven
resides within your arms.

    Judging comment:

A beautiful poem filled with the hopes of love. Although there might be confusion in your heart, but this poem also reflects happiness in each and every sentence and there is a brimming horizon of happiness for every doubt, confusion and other blurred feelings felt in this. I particularly loved the imagery used, especially "the crayon dreams" made.

    SG,
Certainly a journey here, and done really well my friend :)

Just take a look at 3rd verse, do you mean - 'sit' rather than 'sits' or 'a' before butterfly? 'grew' - growing?
    or 'that grew'
    But a great piece anyhow
    M :)

Michael, thank you for genuine advice and making my poem more beautiful. Yes, it should be growing because flowers of happiness are growing everyday.
