Lifeless Sea

a siren song on a barren sea-
so now our hope floats as froth
greased and flightless-
a bottomless loss-
and cold
cold as loss may be,
frozen is our lifeless sea.

And a further degree of tragedy: when a person falls in such cold waters and though the passion is there to get out, they are subsumed none-the-less. And it happens so fast...
    This is keen poetry.
