Disappearance

by Mortal Utopia   Aug 21, 2018

I wonder if the world (along with our lives
so insignificant within it)
will spin forever like strings and planets
upon the rusty contours of the universe...

or perhaps hide eternally, like treasures residing
in even stranger corners of one another’s hearts;
so lovingly awkward, contorted
beyond our imagination.

I wonder if you thought of fading
because you felt you’ve disappeared already...
or was it just too painful, wading
through the seas?

But your smile and tears will always hang
like the sun amongst galaxies and dreams,
shining as a reality
too beautiful to ever go away...

for I can still see you
spinning and spinning like a song on my mind.
