Burn Baby Burn (Rhodes part 5)

by CJ Maleney   Aug 23, 2018

I'm not lying when I say I love the sun,
But I can only take so much.
I need to do something different
Before my skin cannot be touched.

I've always loved the ocean,
I will always seek the sea.
I teach people to navigate,
And how to use the breeze.

This is what I do and love so much,
And I know it oh so well,
But I grow weary of teaching lessons
I wish to dive in to into that swell.

That idiot diving off the highest point!
You know it's always me!
I've done this my entire life,
The pure adrenalin junkie

Arms outstretched and falling,
For a a brief moment I'm a bird.
It's that time when you trust instinct,
No other voices will be heard!

Surface tension takes impact to break,
Gravity and physics all come into play.
The perfect dive and splash down,
I will sail through the air again!

Swimming back to the boat
I am greeted by the crew,

"They say"

"why did you dive when we said no"

It's!!!

! Because I am more alive than you !

Loved this. Really does bring back lovely memories of my travels. There is nothing that can compare to sea and adventures and its the mad spontaneity that make you feel alive the most :) Best wishes Milly x

It's marvellous to see a high diver perform. I can't think of a better place to do this than on holiday. :0)

There's a 10 meter Olympic style diving platform in the sea near Rhodes New Town. Think the boys and I are headed there today.

Don't feel the need to explain this one as I think it is fairly self explanatory.
