Not at all

I don’t think I’ve ever felt as much disappointment as I did tonight when billy walked through the door;
And you were nowhere to be seen.
I jumped out of my seat-
Ignoring my rude exit of the conversation I was having with another person as
I followed billy back to the bar and asked him where you were;
My heart completely stopping mid beat when he said I wouldn’t see you for another three weeks.
I bit back my tears and told him how bad I needed you;
And as he pulled me into a hug I realized just how much I am actually hurting-
And you are nowhere to be found and probably have no idea exactly how vital it is that I see you soon.
I found myself hugging billy more than I have in the entire two years I’ve known you both-
Mostly because I really needed it but
also because he’s your best friend and it made me feel closer to you,
In one way or another.
Seeing him without you was weird since the two of you are kind of like a package and you never see one of you without
the other but;
Before I left he promised me I would see you soon,
Even if soon isn’t for another a three weeks.
Its cool though because darling at this point in my life “soon”-
is a whole lot better than not at all.
