This can be read in a few different ways and each time I do, I think something different.

There in lays the beauty and mystery of poetry.

We think we know what we read but none of us will ever know the mind of the author.

    Fantastic.

    Regards

It's about a serial killer. Most SK's want the glory of being known so they leave a 'clue/ calling card' even taking a token away so they can relive the event again and again.
      Thanks for reading.

Mr D at first I really thought this was about a hooker and then it dawned on me what you meant by 'calling card' (it's been a long day with travelling home and the likes lol) this really fascinated me, how you did this and I'm glad to see it nominated.
    Take care

Mr Darcy you are doing a great job by writing poems about such serious issues. I have seen few episodes on television regarding serial killers and they are the worst people. I can't even describe the things they do to their victims.

I find the psychology of the serial killer fascinating. As for the horror they create, it could be viewed as art?

I wasn't expecting this content for a poem with such a title, which is fitting because usually people think that people who do bad things seem harmful, which they don't. They can seem all sweet and lovely and have families that they have a great relationship with and still have a dark side. I loved the wording, and flow of the poem. Great write!
