When the world seemed fine

by Dagmar Wilson   Sep 1, 2018

I have been watching two icons
being laid to rest
my heart is heavy, my mind can't rest.
Life
where was I
where have I been,
I missed out on so many beautiful things.

Her music, that powerful voice
I remember every single song,
soul made me try to dance.

A prisoner of war
I can't begin to imagine the torture he had to endure,
his love for his country was beyond remarkable.

Both icons on a mission
sadly ended by a beast that will stop for nothing,
I am deeply touched by their loss.
It took me back in time where the world seemed fine.
