Stumbling again

down the same path travelled
many, many times before
I realise this will end the same
never fully opening a new door

I peek in through the crack
and never like what I see
it really never seems right
like I’m hiding the real me

A dear friend once told me, imagine walking across a field of tall dry grass, to get to a well. If you had walked that path for years the path would be trodden down and easy to navigate. Now imagine trying to find another route... it would be hard and the trodden one would feel easier and be easier to use.
It takes time to learn a different path, but eventually it becomes the easy one. Perseverance is the key. X

Love the formatting here, Naomi. Funny, isn't it, that despite how uneven and hard to walk a path might be, we keep choosing the same bloody one!

Take care and all the very best as ever,
    Ben
