Seasons Turn

by Joseph Kerr   Sep 6, 2018

It’s come around, it’s here once more
The season I’ve been waiting for
The wind the rain, the dark and grey
Cannot affect my joy today
The smell of air in the early morn
The falling leaves that will adorn
The street below with red and brown
Hugging the land with it’s autumnal gown
A gown I hope that one cold night
Will change its shade, from brown to white
with frost, the bite that fills the air
Somehow relieves each want and care
I truly am an Autumnal soul
but welcome winter, a friend of ol’

      Thanks again Ben
Hoping to move away from the archetypical rhythmic rhyming work, but am still learning the various constructs.
