Sighing mournfully
A woman glanced
At buried treasures
From long ago. A
Girl who'd carried
Golden memories
of happiness in
Her love of life.
Nothing could dim
That joy for everything
Could be fixed and set
Right, alas those
Were fairy tales destroyed
To show what real life
Was. Every shade of
Anything and anything
Except stories that ended with
"Happily ever after".

Life isn't always what it's cracked up to be and what we hope for when we're young.
    I hope you're keeping well,

    Ben
