I once imagined the tears in the world break and shatter into hearts whole and beating on strange days and other Opposite Days, on special days and on the day when you’ve a place to call home. I imagined your warm hands go cold as ice as you hold your ice-cold drink on warm days and hot days, on shivering days when you know you’ve a place to stay warm. I imagined the frown on your face as you get ready for school (perhaps more than a little reluctantly) on boring days and future days, on days when you could finally see the strange, elusive whispers of Hope.
