Between the Rainbow and the Rain

by Mortal Utopia   Sep 10, 2018

Memories still dance and splash and muddle
like overaged children loitering in the rain:
sometimes dallying and dawdling in puddles,
sometimes singing down and down the drain.

How can I ever forget you by the rainbow
when I look through my cracked window...
into a world so beautifully distorted and blue?
You're never too far away, are you?

I really liked this a lot. I loved the descriptives and how your memories are about this person and how they still are so much in your mind.
