Spring (Haiku)

by Hellon   Sep 17, 2018

Upon the clothes line
willy-wagtail built his nest;
the laundry can wait.

now...

Drying on air-horse
a week's washing fights for space;
three eggs in the nest.

*absolutely captivated by this at the moment...tiny, tiny little birds have made a nest on my clothes line and have laid 1 egg for three days in a row now constantly sitting on them...apparently the incubation period is 14 days so...hope to give an update after that :)

    I have to say, this is excellent. Sweet, funny and well written. I'll nominate later if the site allows.

    All the best, Hellon.

    What lovely imagery. It seems such a precarious perch to put a nest on a washing line. It shows they trust you. Nature brings us such beautiful gifts. Milly x
