Beautiful, Maple. The winner could have been any one of the entries, to be honest.
    Thanks for taking part.

Take care and all the best as ever,

I used to catch dragonflies during my younger days. It paints a smile on my face as I remember myself along with my friends enjoying the hunt.

This really is beautiful. The title is simple but of course works because you know what to expect the poem to be about as the reader, so dragonfly will be in the back of my mind as the reader.

There is a part of me deep down that says that the dragonfly could be a metaphor for someone you love. You see this person as a dragonfly because they are beautiful just like the person you love, and even more so from the first line. You definitely love both.

I believe with the second line you are saying that dragonflies are magic creatures that bewitch you everytime you see one, and that can really be the same thing you say about love. So this person is not only beautiful like the dragonfly but also magic in your eyes.

The ending is kind of the same thing I said above. The beauty of dragonflies and love are combined as one. The poem as a whole is beautiful, and the story told is heartwarming. Well done.
