I'll Return In Spring

by Mark   Sep 27, 2018

When I shall die, in spring I will return
in budding maze of rainbow flowered plush
that flair the morning crisp from winter's turn
and sprout from out the earth in blossomed blush.

Upon the marbled bath will robin's fray
the warbling chirp shall lark as tho' from me;
how sweet the soil in springtime glow of may
when amber rays have pierced the shading tree.

On dancing leaves I'll tap as greens shall birth
and bow in snowdrops till the white prevails,
the fragrant olive air will scent my mirth;
tho' life was lost, rebirth! As spring unveils.

Vernal rebloom shall stream that pulse of mine
for even death will glow, and then I'll shine.
