Wizard of Flaws

by DarkNDangerous   Sep 27, 2018

Dorothy came to me skipping,
Her happiness was just a facade.
Storms took her and loneliness consumed,
Her aches for home I applaud.

Scarecrow came to me hanging,
On his hopes and dreams of a mind.
Crows plucked and gouged it out years ago,
He followed their teachings blind.

Tin woodsman came to me rusted,
Lusting after thick synthetic oil.
His axed soul used to beat affection,
Now just hollowed metallic turmoil.

The Lion came to me shaking,
Brave kings of beasts haunted his dreams.
Living a spineless existence of dissimilarity,
Anxiety tearing him at the seams.

My imperfect reputation precedes me,
Down the yellow bricks of probable cause.
Walks the desire of four broken beings,
To the frightful Wizard of Flaws.
