Sometimes we hold onto secrets to spare our loved ones heart aches. It isn't easy to do, it makes us physically sick and takes a toll mentally.. But sometimes it is necessary, at least momentarily.. as eventually the truth will come out some way. Prayers for an easy transition to the truth and that no damage is caused between your relationship with your daughter. <3

To be placed in a position of such trust and to share a secret can be both privilege and curse. Expecially when the secret you share is with a child.

It places a person in a very difficult situation where they may feel the need to do or say something to help resolve the situation, but how do you do so without breaking trust.

This poem by Dagmar Wilson is a very well written piece that captures the turmoil of such a predicament incredibly well.
