Bird of Rain Drops (Acrostic)

by Maple Tree   Oct 2, 2018

Beautifully she flew by night
inside a covered cloud she slept,
remembering the tears she shed the
day her father died.

One fix
for each breath taken

Rage of needles led to
angry days
inside the addiction of a
nose covered in angelic tears.

Do you think I am less human
rescued by those who look down
on what I've become?
please, look inside your own nightmares
soon they shall become real

and maybe you will tell me your sorry
but it will be too late; for I have died
and maybe then you will call me by my real name....

Andrea, you have every right to vent and rail. You have never given up on Robyn and have done everything in your power to protect her and just love her as only a mom could. This is a truly beautiful write- hugs to you-

I am so glad that you are venting and you did it with enormous grace. We all have one heck of a story to tell and we have no right to judge. Your daughter was brave and she got away from the gang. Having your child in a gang can and is a mother's worst nightmare. My middle daughter her name was baby doll. She eventually got away. It's nothing you did or did not do children seek comfort and find it at no good places. The key is you never gave up on her. Hugs to you
