The Other Me

by Mark Rawlins   Oct 9, 2018

The other me can play guitar.
He's talented and funny.
He drives a big red fancy car
that he bought with all his money.

The other me is charming.
He's as handsome as he's witty.
His charm is quite disarming.
For the rest, it is a pity.

The other me is in the know.
The other me is clever.
The leading light of every show,
he succeeds in all endeavour.

The other me's an athlete,
his body's toned and tanned.
He hasn't got two left feet.
In his face no-one kicks sand.

The other me's a mastermind,
unbelievably well read.
He's generous, one of a kind,
and a genius in bed.

He is well in with the in-crowd.
Never boring, never silly.
He is well and truly endowed
with the most enormous willy.

The other me, he is sublime,
an urban freedom fighter.
His poems do not always rhyme ....
a truly gifted writer.

So if you get a 'friend request',
make sure you click the right one.
The real me (if you hadn't guessed)
is a comparatively shite one.

Haha. I just love your sarcastic humour and this has really given me a giggle this morning. We all have this 'other' us that we'd like to be when almost always, we're absolutely great just as we are, and I strongly suspect that's the case here too.
Witty and funny and nominated! :-) x

I had a feeling this would end rather sadly. Mark, I cannot believe you are that bad, despite your proclamations to the contrary.

Take care and all the best
