Honest, emotional and relatable. Nicely done. A well written piece about self image.

Though some may not relate with another’s poor self image and sometimes even assume that we are just overreacting. They don’t know of the pain of actually not wanting to see yourself in the mirror but I know. Self-esteem is even harder to build when we’ve already accepted how poorly we look physically.

But hoping that someday, things will turn out good for you. And like what they always say, what’s inside ourselves is what truly matters.

    Take care.

      F@€k what other people think!

When you can look in a mirror and be happy with yourself then you are truly happy.

Be it aesthetic or psychological! You need to find the beauty within yourself.

      Screw what everyone else thinks.

      Regards

There’s no reply button but let me reply from here ^^ @Cj Maleney, You are right. Body image, expectations whatever.. formed from different people’s standard we don’t really even need to follow. No matter what people say it is what we think of ourselves that matters. I’ve written a poem something (just a little) similar before.

(@IdTakeABulletForYou just noticed, I double sent my last comment. Sorry for that. You may remove it if you wish)

Stephen, we are all beautiful in our own way. We are also our own worse critics. What matters most is what is inside us. Being a decent honest human. From our conversations I have not seen this awful person you describe. You are warm and caring and deserve all the good in your life. Hugs my friend-

I cried with this poem and I want to hug this writer for sharing this poem with us this week because he did one heck of a display of his feelings and soul wrenching emotions this week. It hurts the reader to think that a person can feel this way and yet its a raw and honest display of how the person is feeling about themselves or how they see themselves in the mirror.

The word usage and specs of metaphor's are just that powerful.... excellent!
