I think I enjoyed this more because I am fairly nerdy about video games and I have a bushy beard. Perhaps the beard shows people that person is wise for their age and perhaps as you grow older you stop caring about what other people think and start doing what what you want to, and that is wise. But a couple of things jumped out at me, I love the friends for a long time meaning behind this, because sometimes friends come and go but they are always with you in your mind and heart, Also needs stick together it seems for a lot longer than other people because you will always have that connection which is a great thing. Great short poem with a lot of hidden meaning!
