Silence

by CJ Maleney   Oct 15, 2018

No chippy claws on wooden floors
No sound of your approach
But a magical thing I hold within
A black and beautiful shinny broach

Never to be seen by eyes again
Yet I know you are always there
Never to be forgotten, always remembered
And you know I'll always care

Fare thee well Tyke.

I've a new puppy which I need to bond with. Unfortunately I work away all week.

He's lovely and a ball of fluff and mischief.

He'll do well in my absence as he's got a lot of love. Come Friday he will know dad is home.

He ain't my tyke as he was a one off. He is however my thunder.

17 years is a great age. Loving pet who was loved foe this long is a wonderful thing. No wonder you miss him so.

Always remembered, indeed. Keep writing about him and screw anyone who ever says "it's just a dog".

They give so much meaning to our lives and they fill us with joy and love beyond what certain people can understand.

Thinking of ya. Take it easy.

Absolutely superb. I loved this wonderful tribute to Tyke. Although it did quite literally bring tears to my eyes superbly written. Sending you a big hug. Milly x
