Where?

As I sit in my chair,
Feeling rather blue,
All I seem to do,
Is think about you.

The love that we shared,
The life that we lived,
The dreams that we had,
Just seemed to disappear.

I don’t understand it,
Where did they go?
How did this happen,
Who would know?

I thought what we had was special,
Thought that it was sealed,
Never expected this,
How did it fail?

I thought it was there yesterday,
But I guess it just drifted away.
Surely the things between us,
Nobody would steal.

I’ve checked everywhere,
The attic, basement,
Even the closets, and all our boxes.
My to my surprise,
There was nothing to be found.
