Although I admit I am not really an animal lover, I really enjoyed this piece. I liked the journey you took me on here and the attention to detail is great, because in its basic bones you are describing how you feel toward your cat and the calming affect she has on you. I do love how you started this poem however because for a dirty minded person you can see the innuendo but then you realize it truly is about your cat or cats in general.

This poem really shows the emotional ties you have to your cat and how much love you have for her, it's always a great feeling when you have anything that calms you. Especially if you call them family.

I blame myself for others to think I'm being rude. I have, after all, written a few 'pussy' poems.
From one "dirty" mind to anothet: Thanks!

I loved the flow of this verse and the story it told together with the humour in it. It was very witty and made me smile...adored the ending :)

    I really liked this dude.

I've always been a dog boy as you know.

However. When I was young (18 ish) my little sister had a cat. Smudge was a f@ck€r.

He was pretty big for a cat and I swear if wound next doors dog up just for amusement.

Although not my animal he would crash in my room before anyone else's. I had an old school wardrobe with a hanging rail and shelves down one side.

The shelves were where I would stack my neatly ironed shirts. Smudge took this space as his own. Comfortable and dark I guess.

Every now and then he would gift me something. Always in the pile of laundry at tho bottom of the bed in the corner.

Being a young lad I had lots of clothes. They could sit there for a week before I needed to do a wash.

And then you gather things up to find a sparrow that is mostly intact. With the exception of a head.

Cats are gorgeous but they are bloody evil lol
