So many people your age find themselves hiding away when truly they should, shout be loud and be heard and seen and recognised. For thier moles, birthmarks and long-short-curly and bald hair of many colours. Oh, and for their hands and feeling fingers that connect them to them/us/ and a world of diversity. |
I read this like a realization and exclamation of how much you matter, how you are coming to terms and accepting the essence and beauty of being you. That final line of almost a command that you are not to be hidden, that left me feeling empowered. Often, our idea of self-worth is morphed but understanding how much we have to give, everything that we currently are, that's something worth fighting for. The way we exist and how we connect with earth and other humans is a complex yet breathtaking thing, if we are patient with ourselves along every learning curve and journey of life. Hope to see this on the front page! Keep writing :) |
I was saddened by the mention of self harming and the initial belief that you were not worthy but encouraged greatly by the change of thought that you were. Its a much warmer happier place in tbe sunshine. Milly x |
