Paradise

You will never know
Paradise
Until you realise you hold it

Life is not a curse, it is not a test. It is a blessing

Only you can make it worse.
Only you can make it amazing.

It's your call,

So what are you going to do with your life?
How will you be remembered?

Dictate your legacy for others and not self!

For then you will truly know peace, satisfaction and self.

By giving a little piece of ourselves we grow greater and stronger.

    What? Eh?

Thank you our Em. But how did you manage that. I deliberately posted it over the weekend thinking it couldn't be nominated. Is my clock completely off kilter with PnQ?

You hit the nail on the head with that opening line " you will never know paradise till you build it. I believe that if you are selfish and self absorbed you can never know true happiness and peace because happiness is rarely something experienced alone.

When you consider others before yourself and do selfless acts of kindness the pleasure that brings you is priceless.

If only everyone learnt just one thing when growing up. "treat others with kindness as you would have them treat you". What a happy world we would live in.

I have had so much joy in helping others through out my life and I believe that the secret to happiness is simply in being kind to others.

If everyone tried once a day to go out of their way to do something nice for someone else and that person did the same. Very soon we would have a much happier world.

We all have the power within our grasp to make a difference. Milly x

I remember queuing years ago in a hospital canteen. My son and I eventually chose our breakfast, only to realise at the till I had left my wallet back I n my car. A lady behind me stepped in and despite my protests paid. I thanked her and was humbled by her generosity of humanity. From that point on I, if I can help others if and when I can. A few years back, I was in a supermarket, queuing again. The chap in front did not have enough money to pay so I stepped in and helped.

Craig, I agree with this poem. By giving ourselves selflessly, we release what it is to be human. We are essentially pack animals, working together for a common cause - survival. It seems as we become more 'specialised' and have traded our souls for binary thought. If we can open up on a global scale, we would be able to think, not as a group/community, country, but as a world of people who need each other to survive. We are literally killing ourselves in the pursuit of personal gain and missing the bigger picture - we can make paradise if we really want to.

    Thanks, Craig and take care.

Perhaps by giving a little of ourselves we weaken.

The person you gave that little piece to, will never forget you.

A kind word in a bus shelter can brighten am old dears day. A coffee and a chat with a homeless guy will make you feel inferior.

None of us are. We are just people!

Philanthropy it the only thing our species has to cling to.
