Trampled By Turtles "where is my mind

by CJ Maleney   Oct 22, 2018

In the time that follows the daily grind.
A cover song "where is my mind"!
A curious thing about which to write.
Oh the things I do on lonely nights.

My head will collapse because there's nothing in it!
It's a simple truth, because I bleed it out and my brain is thinning.
Yes I want to swim in that ocean, to see the little fish.
To ask if I do not catch you "would you grant me one last wish"?

To let me swim as free as you,
To become everything and at last be true.
To float in calm or play in waves,
Not to get caught up in the latest craze.

So cutting back to where I start,
It's a song for mind and not for heart.
So many analogies with one to play
But I let it drop and fade away.

For

The name made me think of people like Ants.
And turtles as big as elephants.

As for the tittle?

"where is my mind"

It's a bloody good question to ask myself at times.

___________

Where is my mind is originally by the Pixies but I found this cover a couple of years back.

I think it's better than the original. Which is not a thing I'll say often about any song or band.

Tagging a link on. Hope you like the song.
