Strength In Numbers:

by Scott Cole   Oct 25, 2018

One day those broken skies
Dripped raindrops from their eyes,
And they rained down from above
All their juicy sappy cries.

The thunder and the lighting
Crisscrossed their scattered tracks,
And as the clouds moved in
Those broken skies went black.

As those mixed emotions stirred
All those unhappy guys increased,
And came screaming to the ground
Full of sorrow and disbelief.

They all gathered in the street
Splitting up in little puddles,
Then all those troubled waters
Came together in a huddle.

They all bowed their heads
Then their prayers hit the air,
As their prayers were up lifted
Their shattered hearts were spared.

For those broken cloudy skies
Started their slow decline,
And that darkness in their eyes
Was replaced with sunshine.

So those gathered little puddles
Held steadfast to their faith,
And trusted their higher power
Which sealed up their floodgates.

Then those rays from the sun
Joined their group embrace,
And eventually one by one
All their heartache was erased.

So all those changed puddles
Were washed of their troubles,
For better days are just ahead
If you stay hopeful and humble.
