Fantastic Beasts

If a Giraffeacoo was here and now,
How funny would it look?
A Crocodilidog or Frogapig,
Or a flying Zebarook.

Oh the amazing beasts we could see,
If we were but immortal beings.
Yet they do all exist in you now you know,
You simply have to dream!

Sometimes we grow old and wiser ha!
But we lose something thats inside.
We lose something so so special,
The imagination of a child.

The idea for this poem started from a word we used when I was in the army. "Hippocrocasnotapig"

(Not something nice to say to a person)

I mentioned this to my Dani and she was fascinated by the idea. She came up with Giraffeacoo! I saved the word waiting until I felt a little lighter inside.

This flight of fancy is the result.

Hope it makes someone smile.
