Abyss

by MariAnn C.   Oct 30, 2018

The now empty walls
Are a vacant abyss
Waiting for renewal

If walls could talk
what would they say
Would they tell of Horror
Romance, terror and strife

Would they show seclusion
Or the bitter promise
Of ones loneliness

Would they show
The finality of ones broken soul
Or reflect the broken heart

As these walls watch

They watch the smiles, the screams, the tears
They embrace the light and the darkness
No different than the first cave
Man resided in

Walls watching is an eerie concept. If they could talk.... A great little piece. Milly x
