    This would work so well as a spoken word piece. I want to hear a voice carry the emotion that’s prevalent here. You speak of conscription, duty, yet none of the valour or hope that litters the image of ‘fighting’ for your country. Your words carry weight here, and the contradiction of ‘full of emptiness’ is stark. You harbour a lot of discontent for the leaders of your country and it’s gripping in your writing.

    "each step digs a deeper grave" brilliant line and so profound. A really well told story about how war continues to destroy lives, and the sadness of servicemen and women, who give their lives, then struggle to survive back in society from the aftermath, or as you say soon to be yet another ghost who died for their country, such grief!
